MAY GOD BLESS YOU |

FRIEND I walk down the street, and what do I see. A drunk in the gutter fast asleep. I cross the street and walk down the road. I think that man has a heavy load. And there on the corner under the light, a thirteen year old girl of the night. And across the street and down the way. A Store adorned in Christmas array. I wonder what the Lord would say on this, His celebrated birthday. I pass by a window and look in. Now let me tell you what I saw, my friend. A Family was praying, thanking God up above. For the blessing He gave them and for showing them love. Well I knocked on the door. And was invited in. Ah it's nice to have such friends. I said there's two of God's children out there in the cold. I didn't mean to speak out so bold. They said no your wrong my friend. They're not God's children there full of sin. Well my heart was troubled, and it hurt from within. They're still God's children, just living in sin. I wonder what the Lord would say on this His celebrated birthday. So my friend while they're praying down there on their knees. Thanking God for their lovely Christmas tree. I'm going out and be a friend. To tell them God loves them and wants them with Him. So while they are praying, there within. I'll be out in the street. Just being a friend. To those children of Satan they wouldn't let in. May God bless them? A-men |
